Why Register?

Ever since the launch of CinemaaOnline 1.0, our viewers must have noticed the Login/Logout feature on the site. We have also had a few of our viewers register. Many of you might have wondered why this feature is there in the first place. Well, as of now, there seems to be nothing extra for a registered user except for that shoutbox on our sidebar which stands there personifying the clichéd Ganga jaisa pavitra (As pure and pristine as the Goddess Ganga).Anyways, the shoutbox is on its way out to make way for something less interactive but far more interesting, something which wouldn’t require a viewer to be registered.

So, back to the original question. Why register? For one, it would be a solid show of support for us. Just to show that you care. But that’s not all. I’d rather take this opportunity to announce that CinemaaOnline 2.0 is on its way in with the release expected in December, 2010, to mark our first anniversary. CinemaaOnline 2.0 will mark a paradigm shift in your user experience on CinemaaOnline. Although its a bit too early to disclose the specifics of what this shift would entail, I can at least give you minor hints by disclosing where the user registration would come into picture.

In CinemaaOnline 2.0, registered users would enjoy a slight edge over unregistered users in terms of access to some sections of the site that would contain premium content. There are also some more features planned for registered users in subsequent versions that would give them more control on customizing the look and feel of the site to suit their individual taste. Of course, registration would remain free.

We suggest that you go through our privacy policy to satisfy yourself that your personal data remains completely safe with us. And we request you to register, if only to show us your support at this stage. Rest assured, you won’t regret the decision.
