I like your restraint in this review. Many a times, we tend to overdo the personal connect in reviews(and at times it does make for a beautiful insight into the film), but the way you touched upon your Goa connection and related it to the film on lines on 'what it could have been' was quite an interesting approach to intelligent and constructive reviewing.
As of the film, personally I can't watch it for the cast looks might uninteresting, drab and seen many time before.
Thanks for the compliment. I've been reviewing films regularly for the last 3 months and I can feel a certain maturity seeping into my writing…slowly but steadily. It feels nice.
And the reasons you give for not wanting to watch the film seem perfectly reasonable. Had the film been exceptional, I would've tried to push you into watching it in spite of these reasons. But then…its not exceptional. Its just above average I'd say.
Way to go man.
